Scheduling Assessment

ProTech Professional Technical Services, Inc. Scheduling Assessment (SA) is a comprehensive assessment of the automated scheduling package(s), with emphasis on Global scheduling, automation and batch throughput.
The ProTech-SA will:
- Assess the performance of the batch scheduling environment Identify opportunities to implement automation and reduce manual processes Perform an analysis of scheduling techniques
- Prioritize the recommended improvement projects
The goals of the ProTech-SA are:
- Reduce manual processes Improve scheduling techniques
- Capitalize on all features and functions of the automated scheduling package
As part of the ProTech-SA, we examine the following areas in depth:
- Work Center usage Documentation Automation routines Variable usage, both Global and Local Security Change management Product interfaces System Configuration
- Abend Resolution
After the Data Collections phases, we perform an analysis of the scheduling environment. This gives us a comprehensive understanding of your scheduling batch cycle and the environment. We will use the assessment to identify recommendations for improvements.
Measurements and Findings Report
The ProTech-SA will result in three deliverables:
- A final presentation summarizing the results of the assessment
- A final written report describing our findings and conclusions
- Recommendations
The final report will be organized into five sections:
- Executive Summary - A brief summary of the report Background - A description of the ProTech-SA methodology ProTech-SA - An assessment of the scheduling environment Workflow Analysis - A discussion of the opportunities for improvements identified during the assessment
- Summary of Recommendations - A summary of the recommendations stated or implied in the final report Recommended Implementation Plan
Once the ProTech-SA Findings and Recommendations are presented to your IT management, the ProTech-SA team will prepare a recommended implementation plan using the feedback and direction given to us by your IT management leaders. This plan will include high-level projects, time lines, resources, and cost estimates.
